Behind every rider on a Hard Enduro start line is someone who put them there. For a growing group of South African riders competing in the 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, that someone is the Trademore Sherco team.
While much of the sport's attention falls on the front of the field, the future of Hard Enduro is being built one step behind it, in the junior and development classes, where young riders take their first shot at the world's hardest racing. Getting there is not cheap, and it does not happen alone. Trademore Sherco exists to close that gap.
The Team
Trademore Sherco backs a squad of South African riders taking on the international championship, including Luke Walker and Dylan Jones in the Junior ranks, Damon Garrell in the youth class, and Branden Swanepoel coming through the development level. On Sherco machinery, they carry the badge into some of the most demanding events on the global calendar, from the forests of Sweden to the mountains of Lesotho.
For a South African team competing on a world stage, every round is a logistical and financial undertaking most fans never see. Flights, freight, entries, spares and support, the cost of simply arriving is significant before a wheel has turned. That investment is what turns talent into opportunity.
The Belief Behind It
What sets the team apart is the conviction behind it. Trademore's support is not a logo on a fairing; it is a deliberate bet on the next generation of South African Hard Enduro, a belief that with the right backing, these riders belong among the best in the world.
That story sits at the heart of this feature. We go inside the team, the riders and the mission driving them: to prove that non europeans can produce world-class Hard Enduro talent, and to give the riders the platform to show it.

This feature is one chapter of a larger story. The Next Generation — a 45-minute documentary following the future of Hard Enduro across the final five rounds of the 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship — will be released at the end of the season, with the Trademore Sherco riders featuring throughout.
That story picks up next at Forza Orza, Round 4 of the championship, held at Orsa Grönklitt, Sweden on 20–22 August 2026 — Sweden's first ever HEWC round, and the start of the run to Lesotho, Türkiye and the Spanish finale.
