Which titles are awarded in 2026?

FIM Hard Enduro World Championship (Pro), FIM Hard Enduro Junior World Championship, plus four World Cups (4-Stroke, Women's, Senior, Youth). The World Cups run only if at least five riders register in the class.

All eight rounds count for the senior World Championship — there are no dropped scores. The Junior World Championship takes each rider's best 6 of 8 results.

Every round is split into three scoring competitions: Prologue, Sprint, and Main Event. Hard enduro events are unique by nature, so exact schedule, distance and obstacles vary by venue and are published in each event's Supplementary Regulations.

A short, spectator-friendly time-attack run used to set the starting order for the Sprint. Only the top 3 score championship points (3-2-1).

How many points can a rider score per round?

A maximum of 33 points per round: up to 3 from the Prologue, 10 from the Sprint, and 20 from the Main Event.

What's the Main Event points table?

Top 15 finishers score: 20-17-15-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. To score points the rider must finish the event (DNF scores zero unless the organiser publishes a final classification based on checkpoints reached).

How are ties broken?

Within a round: the rider who reached the furthest checkpoint ranks higher; if still tied (or no checkpoints), the better Prologue position wins. For the season: most race-winning placings, then better placing in the final round.

Are points awarded across classes?

Only the most demanding course scores Pro World Championship points. Junior riders may also score in less demanding classes, but riders who finished the most demanding course are always ranked ahead.

What's the minimum age?

16 for the Pro World Championship and the Women's World Cup, 14 for the Youth World Cup (max 20), 16-23 for the Junior World Championship, and 40+ for the Senior World Cup.

Who is eligible for the Junior World Championship?

Riders aged 16 and under 24 on the day the event starts. Juniors race the same track and format as the Pro field — there is no separate course. Juniors registered for both championships can score in both.

How do I register?

Riders need a valid FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, Annual or One-Event Licence. Season registration is €500 (Pro) or €250 (Junior / World Cups) — Pro registration covers Junior at no extra cost. One-event entries are €100 per round. Registrations close two weeks before each event.

Where do I enter individual rounds?

Every rider must also enter each round individually via cms.fim-hardenduro.com/entry. Entry fee is paid online; the entry is only confirmed once payment clears.

What bikes are eligible?

Any motorcycle that complies with the FIM Hard Enduro Technical Regulations — both 2-stroke and 4-stroke score equally in the Pro class. Electric bikes (EPV) are permitted in Pro only and must meet the current FIM Electric Regulations.

What about tyres?

Motocross tyres are allowed unless the track uses public roads. Trial tyres are forbidden.

Are noise checks enforced?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A first noise-limit offence costs 3 grid positions; a second offence is disqualification.

When do results become official?

Accepted Answer

Results are provisional until the protest window closes. A Prize-Giving Ceremony is held within 10 minutes of the top three being determined — the result is only confirmed once protests have elapsed.

How do I lodge a protest?

Protests go to the Clerk of the Course. Protests against results must be filed within 30 minutes of the result being announced. Standard protest fee is €660; fuel or engine-strip protests carry additional fees. Appeals against the FIM International Jury go to the CAI within 5 days (€1,320 deposit).

What if the event is stopped?

A stopped event cannot be re-run. If more than 50% of the field has not completed a third of the distance or time when the event is stopped, the round is declared null and void.
