About FIM Hard Enduro

Born from the hardest terrain. Defined by endurance. Recognised by the world.

The FIM Hard Enduro World Championship is the premier global series for hard enduro racing — uniting the world's toughest off-road events into a single, internationally governed championship.

Sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), the championship represents the highest level of endurance-based off-road competition, where skill, consistency and decision-making are tested across some of the most unforgiving terrain on the planet.

This is a discipline designed to challenge riders physically, mentally and mechanically — over hours, over days, and over an entire season.

How the championship works

One framework. Eight rounds. The world's toughest terrain.

A global championship, one unified standard

The championship operates under a single sporting and technical framework, applied consistently across every round. Each event keeps its identity and character, but all competitors race under the same regulations, classification systems and governance — ensuring fairness, transparency and sporting integrity from the first prologue to the final main race.

Racing that rewards consistency

Success is built on endurance over long distances and multi-day formats, technical ability across extreme terrain, tactical decision-making under fatigue, and consistency across an entire season. The points structure rewards riders not just for winning, but for performing across every stage of competition.

Open competition, controlled by regulation

Professional and amateur riders line up on the same demanding courses, head-to-head under FIM regulations. Motorcycles must comply with approved FIM Technical Regulations, with internal combustion machines eligible across the field and Electric Power Vehicles authorised in line with FIM sporting and technical provisions.

Governance, safety and integrity

The championship is governed in accordance with FIM regulations, with clear structures for rider eligibility and licensing, sporting decisions and jury authority, medical and safety standards, and protests, appeals and disciplinary processes — keeping the series credible, consistent and aligned with international motorsport standards.
